Cleaning the garage is usually on our to-do lists. With the recent events and us all being asked to stay home, we all now have the extra time to check a few jobs off our ‘get to it’ list.
If your garage is a mess or just in need of better organisation, there is no better than right now to clean things up and maybe even gain extra space if you need a bit of a getaway from the family.
The first thing you need to do is pull everything out of the garage. This will give you the opportunity to sweep the floor and if needed wash down the walls. It’s always so much easier to start with a clean slate.
Next, you need to sort. Sort things into piles so you know what you have. Make sure one of those piles are a toss section and get rid of anything that is broken (let’s face it, if you haven’t fixed it by now you probably never will.)
Now you need to plan. Work out what you want to go where. A great way to keep things organised is to install shelving and sort things into storage tubs. With everyone offering a delivery service, you can get everything you’ll need to get started, without having to leave the house.
